Making and Receiving Calls

Learn how to make outbound calls, answer incoming calls, and use call controls like mute and keypad from the SalesPartner app.

Calling from the App

SalesPartner lets you make and receive calls directly from your browser. No separate phone app needed.

What you can do: - Make outbound calls — Dial any phone number from the app - Receive incoming calls — Answer calls routed to your extension - Use call controls — Mute yourself, dial extensions with the keypad, and end calls - See call duration — Track how long you've been on the call

All calls go through your business phone number, so leads see your company caller ID—not your personal number.

Making Calls

To make an outbound call:

1. Go to the Phone tab in the app 2. Enter the phone number using the keypad or type it directly 3. Tap the green Call button

What happens next: - The call starts connecting - You'll see "Connecting call..." on screen - Once connected, the active call bar appears with controls - The timer shows how long you've been talking

Tips for dialing: - Include the area code (10-digit numbers work best) - The keypad adds digits as you tap them - Clear the number with the X button if you make a mistake - You can also paste a number directly into the input field

Receiving Calls

When someone calls your business and the call routes to you, you'll see an incoming call screen.

The incoming call modal shows: - A pulsing phone icon to get your attention - The caller's name (if known) or "Unknown Caller" - Their phone number - Two buttons: Answer (green) and Reject (red)

To answer: Tap the green Answer button. You'll be connected immediately.

To reject: Tap the red Reject button. The call ends and the caller may go to voicemail (depending on your settings).

Note: If you're away or don't answer, calls are handled based on your availability settings. They might go to voicemail or route to another team member.

During a Call

Once you're on an active call, you'll see the call bar at the top of your screen.

The call bar shows: - Status indicator — A pulsing dot shows the call is active - Caller info — Name and phone number - Call duration — Timer showing how long you've been talking

Call controls:

Mute — Tap to mute your microphone. The button turns red when muted. Tap again to unmute. Use this when you need to cough, talk to someone nearby, or look something up.

Keypad — Opens a number pad for dialing extensions. Use this when a phone menu asks you to "press 1 for sales" or when you need to enter a meeting PIN.

End — Tap to hang up the call. This ends the call for both you and the other person.

The call bar stays visible while you navigate other parts of the app, so you always know you're on a call.

Call Quality Tips

For the best call quality:

Browser permissions: - Allow microphone access when prompted - If you accidentally blocked it, check your browser settings - Chrome, Firefox, and Safari all work—Chrome tends to be most reliable

Network requirements: - Use a stable internet connection (WiFi or ethernet is best) - Avoid public WiFi or spotty cell service - Close bandwidth-heavy apps during important calls

Audio setup: - Use headphones to prevent echo - If using laptop speakers, keep volume moderate - Position your microphone close to your mouth

If you have issues: - Refresh the page to reconnect the calling service - Check that your browser has microphone permission - Try a different browser if problems persist - Make sure no other app is using your microphone

Common Questions

Can I make calls from my phone? Yes. The SalesPartner app works in mobile browsers. Open it on your phone and you can make calls just like on desktop.

What number shows when I call someone? Your business phone number. Leads see your company caller ID, not your personal number.

Can I call while looking at a conversation? Yes. You can browse conversations, contacts, and other parts of the app while on a call. The call bar stays visible.

What if I miss a call? Depending on your settings, missed calls may go to voicemail or route to another available team member. Check your voicemail section for messages.

Why can't I make calls? Make sure you have an extension assigned. If you see "No extension assigned," contact your administrator. Also check that your browser has microphone permission.
