Getting Started

Connecting Your Calendar

Link your Google or Microsoft calendar so leads can book appointments directly. Learn how to connect, configure, and troubleshoot common issues.

Why Connect Your Calendar

When your calendar is connected, SalesPartner can book appointments directly with qualified leads. No back-and-forth emails. No missed opportunities. Leads pick a time that works for both of you, and it shows up on your calendar.

Key benefits:

  • Qualified leads book meetings while they're still interested
  • Double-booking is prevented automatically
  • You see appointments alongside your existing events
  • Leads get confirmation and reminders

Supported Calendars

SalesPartner works with the calendars most businesses use:

Google Calendar — Personal Gmail accounts or Google Workspace (business) accounts. This is the most common choice for small businesses.

Microsoft 365 Calendar — Outlook calendars through Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365). Works with business Microsoft accounts.

Both calendar types work the same way once connected. Choose whichever you use for your business scheduling.

How to Connect Your Calendar

Connecting takes about two minutes. Here's the process:

Step 1: Open Calendar Settings Go to Settings in the SalesPartner app and select "Calendar Connections."

Step 2: Choose Your Provider Select either Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 Calendar.

Step 3: Enter Credentials You'll be asked for your calendar credentials. For Google, this means your Client ID and Client Secret from Google Cloud Console. For Microsoft, you'll need your Application ID and Client Secret from Azure.

Step 4: Authorize Access A popup window opens asking you to sign in and grant permission. Click "Allow" or "Accept" to let SalesPartner see your calendar and create events.

Step 5: Confirm Connection Once authorized, you'll see a green "Connected" status with your email address displayed.

What Permissions Are Needed

SalesPartner requests only the permissions needed to schedule appointments:

Read your calendar — To check when you're busy or available. This prevents double-booking.

Create events — To add new appointments when leads book time with you.

Update events — To modify appointments if a lead reschedules.

SalesPartner cannot read your email, access other files, or see events marked as private. The connection is secure and can be disconnected at any time.

Setting Your Availability

After connecting your calendar, set up your availability preferences:

Available Hours — Define when you're open for appointments. Different from business hours if you only want meetings during certain times.

Buffer Time — Add time between appointments. For example, 15 minutes between meetings gives you prep time.

Appointment Duration — Set default meeting lengths. Common options are 15, 30, or 60 minutes.

Advance Notice — Require leads to book a certain amount ahead. For example, requiring 24 hours notice prevents last-minute bookings.

These settings live in the Availability section of your settings, separate from the calendar connection.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Popup Blocked If the authorization window doesn't appear, your browser is blocking popups. Allow popups for the SalesPartner site and try again.

"Authorization Required" Status This means your credentials are saved but the calendar isn't fully connected. Click the "Authorize" button to complete the connection.

Calendar Not Syncing Sync happens every few minutes. If appointments aren't appearing, disconnect and reconnect your calendar. This refreshes the connection.

Wrong Calendar Account If you connected the wrong account, click "Disconnect" and start over. Make sure you're signed into the correct Google or Microsoft account before authorizing.

Expired Connection Calendar connections can expire after several months. If scheduling stops working, check your connection status and reauthorize if needed.

Switching Calendar Providers

You can only connect one calendar at a time. To switch from Google to Microsoft (or vice versa):

1. Disconnect your current calendar 2. Select the new provider 3. Enter credentials and authorize

Existing appointments already on your calendar won't be affected. Future bookings will go to the new calendar.
