Contact Tags
Organize your contacts with tags. Label leads by priority, stage, or any custom category to find them quickly.
What Tags Are For
Tags are labels you attach to contacts. They help you organize and find people quickly.
Think of tags like sticky notes on a filing cabinet. You might tag one lead as "High Priority" and another as "Decision Maker." Later, you can filter to see all your high priority leads at a glance.
Tags are flexible. You can create any tag you want. Use them to track whatever matters to your business.
Adding Tags
To add a tag to a contact:
1. Open the contact 2. Tap the Settings icon (gear) 3. Select Tags 4. Either: - Type a new tag name and tap Add - Or tap any suggestion to add it instantly
Tags appear as badges on the contact. You can add as many as you need.
Keyboard shortcut: Press Enter after typing a tag name to add it quickly.

The tag is removed immediately. If you change your mind, just add it again.
Tag Strategies
Here are some ways businesses use tags effectively:
By urgency Tag hot leads as "Urgent" or "High Priority" so they stand out. When you have limited time, focus on these first.
By stage Track where each lead is in your sales process. "New Lead" → "Discovery" → "Proposal Sent" → "Closed Won." This shows your pipeline at a glance.
By source Tag leads by where they came from: "Website," "Referral," "Trade Show." Helps you understand which sources produce the best leads.
By follow-up timing Tags like "Call Monday" or "Follow Up Q1" help you remember when to reach out.
By special needs "Spanish Speaking," "Needs Financing," or "Large Project" help you remember important context.
Tag Categories
Tags fall into natural categories based on what they describe:
Priority — How important or urgent is this lead? High, medium, low, urgent, cold.
Stage — Where is this lead in your sales process? New, discovery, proposal, negotiation, closed.
Custom — Everything else. Role, timing, special needs, source, or any label that helps you.
When browsing suggestions, use the category tabs to find relevant tags faster. You can always create your own tags that don't fit any category—just type and add.
