Troubleshooting

Notification Issues

Fix problems with missing notifications, badges not updating, or alerts not appearing.

Common Notification Issues

If you're not seeing notifications when new leads come in or messages arrive, there are a few things to check.

Most common problems: - Browser permissions are blocking notifications - You're logged out or your session expired - The notification bell shows no badge even though you have unread items - Notifications work on one device but not another

Let's walk through each of these and how to fix them.

Browser Permissions

Your browser needs permission to show you notifications. Without this, you'll only see alerts when you're actively using the app.

How to check permissions:

Chrome: 1. Click the lock icon in the address bar 2. Look for "Notifications" in the dropdown 3. Make sure it's set to "Allow"

Safari: 1. Go to Safari > Settings > Websites > Notifications 2. Find our app in the list 3. Set it to "Allow"

Firefox: 1. Click the lock icon in the address bar 2. Click "Connection secure" then "More information" 3. Go to Permissions tab 4. Find Notifications and set to "Allow"

If you don't see the permission prompt: Some browsers block notification prompts if you've dismissed them before. You may need to manually allow notifications in your browser settings.

Notification Settings

Make sure notifications are turned on in the app itself.

How to check your settings: 1. Click your profile icon in the top right 2. Go to Settings 3. Look for Notification Preferences 4. Make sure the notifications you want are enabled

Types of notifications you can control: - New lead alerts - Message notifications - Calendar reminders - Status changes

If certain notifications are turned off here, you won't receive them even if browser permissions are correct.

Mobile Notifications

Mobile notifications work differently than desktop. Here's what to check.

For iPhone (Safari): You need to add the app to your home screen first: 1. Open the app in Safari 2. Tap the Share button 3. Select "Add to Home Screen" 4. Open the app from your home screen 5. When prompted, allow notifications

For Android (Chrome): 1. Open the app in Chrome 2. Tap the three-dot menu 3. Select "Add to Home Screen" 4. When prompted, allow notifications

Not getting mobile notifications? - Check that Do Not Disturb is turned off - Make sure the app isn't in Low Power mode exceptions - Verify Chrome/Safari has notification permissions in your phone's Settings

Desktop Notifications

Desktop browsers have their own notification settings that can override what the app tries to do.

Check your system notifications:

Mac: 1. Go to System Settings > Notifications 2. Find your browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) 3. Make sure notifications are allowed

Windows: 1. Go to Settings > System > Notifications 2. Find your browser in the list 3. Make sure notifications are turned on

Common issues: - Focus Assist (Windows) or Do Not Disturb (Mac) is blocking notifications - Your browser is muted in system settings - You're in full-screen mode, which can delay notifications

The notification badge: Even if desktop notifications are blocked, you should still see the red badge on the notification bell when you have unread items. If the badge isn't updating, try refreshing the page.

Still Having Issues?

If you've checked all the above and notifications still aren't working:

Try these steps: 1. Log out and log back in 2. Clear your browser cache 3. Try a different browser 4. Check if notifications work on another device

Quick test: Open the notification center by clicking the bell icon. If you see notifications there but aren't getting alerts, it's a browser or device permission issue. If the bell shows no notifications at all, there may be a sync issue.

Refresh the connection: Sometimes the connection to our servers gets interrupted. Refresh the page to re-establish the connection. You should see your notifications update within a few seconds.

Contact support: If nothing helps, reach out to our support team. Let us know: - What device and browser you're using - Whether notifications work on other devices - What you see when you click the notification bell
