Sync & Offline Problems
Fix issues with data not syncing, offline mode, or information not updating across devices.
How Sync Works
SalesPartner keeps your data up to date across all your devices. When you make changes on one device, they appear on your other devices automatically.
What gets synced: - Conversations and messages - Contact information - Settings and preferences - Notifications
How it happens: Your app maintains a live connection to our servers. When something changes, the update is pushed to all your devices within seconds.
The offline banner: If you see a red "Offline" banner at the top of your screen, your device has lost its internet connection. Don't worry—any actions you take will be saved and synced when you're back online.
When You're Offline
You can still use parts of the app when your internet is down.
What works offline: - Viewing conversations you've already loaded - Reading contact details - Browsing your recent leads
What doesn't work offline: - Sending new messages - Making or receiving calls - Loading new conversations
Queued actions: If you try to send a message while offline, it gets queued. Once you're back online, the app will automatically send it for you.
Tip: The app will keep trying to reconnect automatically. Just stay on the page and wait for the red "Offline" banner to disappear.
Sync Problems
If your data isn't updating or seems stuck, here are the most common causes and fixes.
Problem: New messages not appearing - Refresh the page - Check if you see the offline banner - Try logging out and back in
Problem: Changes not showing on other devices - Make sure both devices are online - Refresh the page on the device where you want to see updates - Check that you're logged into the same account
Problem: Data shows on one device but not another - This usually means one device is still syncing - Wait a minute and refresh both devices - If it persists, clear your browser cache on the affected device
Problem: App shows "Loading" forever - Refresh the page - Check your internet connection - Try a different browser
Manual Sync
Most of the time, sync happens automatically. But if you need to force an update:
Refresh the page: The simplest fix. Press F5 (Windows) or Cmd+R (Mac) to reload. This re-establishes the connection and pulls fresh data.
Log out and back in: This clears your local data and downloads everything fresh from the server.
Clear browser cache: For persistent issues, clearing your cache can help: 1. Open your browser settings 2. Find "Clear browsing data" or "Clear cache" 3. Clear cached images and files 4. Reload the app
Hard refresh: Hold Shift while clicking the refresh button. This bypasses the cache and loads everything fresh.
Network Requirements
For the best experience, you need a stable internet connection.
Minimum requirements: - Active internet connection (mobile data or Wi-Fi) - Browser that allows background connections - No aggressive firewalls blocking our servers
Common network issues:
VPN blocking connection: Some VPNs interfere with our real-time connection. If you use a VPN and experience sync issues, try disconnecting it temporarily.
Corporate firewall: If you're on a work network, the firewall may be blocking certain connections. Ask your IT team if they can whitelist our services.
Unstable connection: Frequent disconnections can cause sync issues. If your Wi-Fi is unreliable, try moving closer to the router or using mobile data.
Getting Help
If you've tried the above and sync still isn't working:
Before contacting support, try: 1. Use a different browser (Chrome usually works best) 2. Try on a different device 3. Check if the issue affects all conversations or just one 4. Note when the problem started
Helpful information for support: - Your browser and device type - Whether the offline banner appears - What specifically isn't syncing - Any error messages you see
Check your account: Make sure you're logged in with the correct account. Sometimes sync issues happen when you're accidentally logged into a different account than you expected.
Server status: Rarely, sync issues can be caused by server maintenance. Check with support if you suspect this might be the case.
