Business Hours
Set your company working hours so SalesPartner knows when to expect your team and how to handle after-hours leads.
Why Business Hours Matter
Business hours tell SalesPartner when your team is working. This affects how leads are handled throughout the day.
What business hours affect: - Lead responses — Conversations adjust based on whether you're open - Scheduling — Meetings book during your working times - Expectations — Leads know when to expect follow-up - After-hours handling — The system knows when to take a different approach
Set your hours once and SalesPartner handles the rest. No need to manually switch modes morning and evening.
Setting Your Hours
Your business hours are set per day of the week.
How to set business hours: 1. Go to Settings 2. Find the Business Hours or Availability section 3. Choose which days you're open 4. Set start and end times for each day
Example setup: - Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Saturday: Closed - Sunday: Closed
Different hours per day: Some businesses have different hours on different days. Maybe you close early Friday or open late on weekends. Set each day individually.
24/7 operation: If you never close, you can leave business hours empty. SalesPartner will treat you as always open.
Weekend and Holiday Hours
Handle weekends and holidays separately from regular business hours.
Weekends: If you're closed on weekends, simply don't add Saturday or Sunday to your working hours. Any day without hours is considered closed.
Holidays: Add specific dates as exceptions when you'll be closed or have special hours.
To add a holiday: 1. Go to the exceptions or time-off section 2. Add the date (like December 25) 3. Mark it as closed or set special hours
Special hours example: Maybe you close early on Christmas Eve. Add December 24 with hours 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM instead of marking it fully closed.
Planning ahead: Add your holidays at the start of the year. Common ones to consider: - New Year's Day - Memorial Day - Independence Day - Labor Day - Thanksgiving - Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
SalesPartner checks exceptions first, then falls back to regular hours. This means a holiday exception will override your normal schedule for that day.
Personal vs Company Hours
There are two levels of business hours: company-wide and personal.
Company hours: These are set by your administrator and apply to everyone. They define when your business operates. Most users see company hours as read-only.
Personal hours: You can set personal working hours within the company schedule. This is useful when: - You work part-time - You have a different shift than the standard - You handle leads only certain days
How they work together: If company hours are 8 AM - 6 PM but you work 9 AM - 5 PM, set your personal hours accordingly. The system respects both—you won't get leads outside either schedule.
Personal time off: You can also add personal exceptions for days you won't be working. This is separate from company holidays. Use it for vacation days, appointments, or any time you're unavailable.
To change company-wide hours, talk to your administrator.
After-Hours Messages
When someone reaches out outside business hours, SalesPartner handles it gracefully.
What happens after hours: - Calls may go to voicemail - Text conversations continue but with adjusted expectations - Leads know you'll follow up during business hours
How leads experience it: SalesPartner acknowledges their message and lets them know when to expect a response. No one is left wondering if their message went through.
Example after-hours response: "Thanks for reaching out! We're currently closed but will get back to you first thing tomorrow morning."
Scheduling through after-hours: If someone wants to book a meeting during off-hours, SalesPartner can still help. It will offer your next available slots during business hours.
The benefit: You don't miss leads that come in at night or on weekends. They're captured and handled appropriately until your team is back.
Common Questions
What if I forget to set hours? If no business hours are set, SalesPartner treats you as always open. Set your hours to avoid late-night lead handling.
Can different team members have different hours? Yes. Each person can set personal working hours. Someone might work mornings while another covers afternoons.
What happens to leads that come in when everyone's offline? They're still captured. SalesPartner responds appropriately and queues them for follow-up when someone is available.
How do I handle lunch breaks? For most businesses, lunch breaks don't need special handling. Just set your overall hours. If you completely close for lunch, you could add a gap in your schedule.
What timezone are hours in? Business hours use your company's timezone. If you set 9 AM, that's 9 AM in your timezone, regardless of where the lead is.
Can I change hours on the fly? Yes. Update your working hours anytime. Changes take effect immediately.
